Roles And Responsibilities

  • Took patient medical histories, conducted adolescent, adult and geriatric examination and recorded data using EMR software.
  • Ordered and interpreted laboratory results including electrocardiogram and other diagnostic tests.
  • Ordered and interpreted x-rays and performed splinting and casting of patients with fractures.
  • Formulated treatment plan to care for patients with fractures.
  • Performed therapeutic procedures such as digital blocks, suturing, wound debridement and stabilization, abscess incision and drainage, skin tag removal, punch biopsy, in-grown wedge resection and cryosurgery for viral warts.
  • Managed footsore, venous states ulcer, diabetic foot ulcers. Formulated and implemented treatment plans for chronic care patients with diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, Hepatitis C, hyperthyroidism, renal failure and end stage liver disease.
  • Managed patient with chronic constipation and electrolyte imbalances due to psychiatric medications.
  • Counseled patients about preventative medicine, treatment options and risk management especially with infective disease such Hepatitis C, HIV and MRSA.
  • Performed duties as first and second assistant in Surgery. Provided emergency medical treatment for patients with acute myocardial infraction, life threatening injuries and fractures.
  • Proficient in joint injections and trigger finger injections. Assessment and treatment skills in treating acute and chronic orthopedic injuries including muscular imbalances.
