In my 27 months of employment I brought in well over 8.2 million - averaging 304K a month in revenue. Head of Operations

USA Trucking
04.2015 - 10.2016

Prior to my arrival the company had been up and running a little over a year, starting with one refrigerated truck, and grew to 5 tractor trailers.

  • Increased rate per mile from 1.74 to an average of $2.08 on all miles and $2.34 on loaded miles.
  • The insurance company who backed us would not allow us to buy anymore equipment. We came up with the idea of a dispatch service which depending on the experience/MC number we charged between 7%-12%. We went from 1 contracted carrier to 5 within a couple months. Managing a total of ten reefer units. (5 running under their own authority
  • Gained dedicated business from shippers, primarily produce companies in the area and we were able to utilize our company drivers as well as our contracted carriers.
  • We were able to improve fleet efficiencies by implementing electronic logs, mandatory pre-trip inspections, and we also put more emphasis on filling the trucks with more experienced drivers. We found that even though we paid them considerably more than an inexperienced driver that profits, and operating costs improved.
