Job overview

  • Kept an Excel Spreadsheet each month of all the money that was brought into the company for all the doctors/groups that we bill for.  This was used in order to balance out month end with the owners books and doctors accounts at the end of each month.
  • Add up and fill out deposit tickets for various doctors/groups in absence of the owner of the company.
  • Add up and analyze each doctor/groups payments for appropriate distribution to each poster to be posted to each patients account.  
  • Obtained Explanation of Benefits through various sites online to obtain doctor and/or group payments. Sites used were through Navicure, Navinet, Cigna Healthcare, Optum Healthcare, Payspan and secure lock boxes.
  • Use three different scanners from two different banks to scan checks received for doctors each day.
  • Once per week go to various banks to deposit doctor/group checks and pick up work and money at doctors offices.
  • Supervise and answer all questions from the payment posters.
  • Pick up all mail at the Post Office on a daily basis for all doctors/groups that we bill for.
  • Directly email various doctors regarding their accounts and keep them updated on their money.  Scan Explanation of Benefits as well.
  • Do various turn over to collections for patients who have not paid their bill.  I work with five different collection companies by scanning in the information. 
  • Print checks, as needed, for the owner of the company.
