- Safely operate assigned farm machinery and tractor on a daily basis and report safety issues/concerns to management in timely manner.
- Performed planting, netting, seeding, and sprigging as instructed.
- Performed aerification and rolling of harvested areas in coordination with fertilizer and lime applications.
- Performed proper mower maintenance (blade sharpness), HOC (height of cut) and mowing frequency as instructed as required.
- Harvest sod as instructed utilizing proper cutting depth, down pressure and conveyor speed, ensuring correct roll length, pallet presentation and flags in sod.
- Kept farm neat, clean and orderly and free of debris.
- Maintained and cleaned equipment after each job and inspected.
- Performed pre-start checks (oil, hydraulic, water, clean air filters, etc) and any necessary preventive maintenance.
- Adhered to heavy equipment safety and operation protocols, resulting in minimal complaints or incidents.
- Loaded and unloaded sod from trucks, cranes and other and coordinated supplies to promote efficiency.
- Adhered to instructions from supervisors and engineers onsite.
