Leave Administration (LOA) Specialist (Full time-temp.)works closely with the manager of Leave Administration to ensure that Save Mart is administering Leave Program based on various leave types: FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), CFRA (California Family Rights Act), PDL (Pregnancy Disability Leave), ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), STD (Short-term Disability), LTD, (Long-term Disability), FEHA (Fair Employment and Housing Act), HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), USERRA (Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act), CA SDI (California State Disability Insurance), Ca and Nevada DFEH/EDD

Completed human resource operational requirements by reaching out to employees who were out due to having COVID 19 or in quarantine for same.
- Conducting interviews (Questions provided by Legal) to assess employees medical condition, whether they are taking a test and if they would like to let me know their results voluntarily.
- Contacting COVID positive employees several times a week to discuss their condition and check how they are doing.
- Track and report various “key elements” of the Leave database, ensuring that trends are brought forward so that Leadership can make informed decisions on directions/changes.
- Maintain calendar to ensure employees are reached out to at appropriate times.
- Caseload of 300 employees.
- Working six weeks assisting with many new cases that came in waves around the fourth of July.
- Working with a sense of urgency to ensure that LOA dept. is responsive to stakeholders.
