
I graduated from Humboldt State University in Spring 2018 with a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science Ecological Restoration. Thus far in my career I have worked for various different companies and I have learned about what I excel at and what I can add to a team. I work well on my own and thrive in a team. I always bring a positive attitude to the group and help motivate team members. I am detail orientated, thorough, optimistic and very creative. I love to learn new thing and am always up for a challenge.
•Maintain and build drainage dips using a variety of hand tools; shovel, McLeod, and pick mattock
•Use a pitchfork to remove and stash cut brush
•Identification and removal of Poison Oak using garden shears
•Identification and removal of French Broom using weed wrenches
•Use of handsaws to safely remove hazardous tree limbs that have fallen in the trail or hanging above the trail
•Identification of species of plants to avoid when string trimming or when reducing vegetation encroachment on trail
•Trimming trails to people standards (6 feet) or horse standards (12 feet)
•Ability to open, lock, and operate locked gates to access fire roads
•Safely direct coworkers backing up to park safely
•Ability to secure maintenance supplies in the back of a truck using ratchets and bungee cords •Ability to sharpen hand tools including shovels, picks, and McLeods
•Ability to navigate city streets to find park preserves and use park maps to find specific trails
