• Respond to direct customer messages on social accounts via SocialFlow
• Program materials for the company's website (approximately 450 million visits each month) through WordPress, making sure all of our news feeds are up to date and look presentable.
• Edit other existing stories on the website to account for new information, such as updates to storm and other weather forecasts.
• Write materials based on weather-related topics. This includes tornadoes, thunderstorms, drought, heat waves and flooding.
• Write feature stories and other pieces based on the people that are involved in weather-related industries.

• Beeville Bee-Picayune: 9,900 followers
• Goliad Advance-Guard: 4,200 followers
• Refugio County Press: 3,500 followers

Other duties:

• Editor of Goliad Advance-Guard and Refugio County Press weekly newspaper publications.
• Produce 3-4 community-based news stories per week for each publication.
• Write features each week as needed, and/or coordinate feature writing with staff reporter.
• Coverage of local sporting events for Goliad County and Refugio County, Texas, namely high school teams.
• Produce game recaps, feature stories, photos for sporting events.
• Paginate majority of both papers each week.
• Proofread all submitted content for both publications.
