  • Welding Procedure Review: Review and verify welding procedure specifications (WPS), procedure qualification records (PQR), and welder qualification tests (WQT) for compliance with industry codes.
  • Welder Qualification Testing: Administer welder performance qualification tests, ensuring the welders meet certification standards.
    Witness and monitor weld tests, ensuring test parameters match WPS and meet facility and regulatory standards.
    Provide feedback and corrective action advice for welders needing requalification.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate inspection records and generate detailed reports for weld tests and inspections.
    Ensure adherence to all AWS standards, including D1.1 (Structural Welding Code), and other relevant codes (ASME Section IX, API 1104, etc.).
    Assist in audits and reviews by accreditation bodies or regulatory agencies.
  • Quality Control Support: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high levels of quality and accuracy within the testing facility.
