Growing up I always excelled in sports and this is where I learned a lot of valuable life lessons and faced lots of adversity. From a young age I was constantly looked to as a leader on my teams. I also learned how to deal with disappointment and to be humble in success. These skills, support from good people around me, and other interests of mine lead me to graduate highschool and pursue a church mission from the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was called to the Philippines where I spent 2 years of my life serving, learning, and leading. During this time I learned to appreciate studying, which had not been a skill I had developed prior. I learned the Filipino language known as Tagalog and am still fluent to this day. I also added many invaluable experiences which I still cherish as they help me still. During that time I knew I wanted to pursue a career in healthcare. I then attended SUU where I was a member of the football team as I had been recruited in highschool. I excused myself from the team after 1 year knowing that although I loved football, it was not going to be the thing that leads me to the life I want one day. From then on I have studied and performed well in all of my classes amassing a good GPA. Other jobs and service experiences have also helped me continue to stay well rounded and cultivate different skills. I have also continued to stay diligent in my faith as I am active in my church and have served as the executive secretary to the bishop in my ward for 3 years.
