Thomas Pitts

Assists the director in overseeing the special needs ministries of all ages while helping form and enforce the curriculum along with various tasks assigned by director. Continued volunteering for the church on top of this, as this was only a part time position.

Primary objective was to provide excellent customer service while implementing the CycleBar hospitality to promote sale of memberships, merchandise and packages. Additional duties included housekeeping, maneuvering through ClubReady Software for membership management and as an individual I took initiative to bring in additional lead prospects by contacting organizations to book private rides.

• Works with students both individually and in small groups to provide personalized educational, behavioral and emotional support
• Aids elementary school special education teachers in reinforcing efforts for children with various learning and behavioral needs
• Conducts individualized assessments to determine students' academic progress
• Created 70 day fine motor progression program that uses 30 minutes per day to improve various fine motor skills that are necessary for classroom achievement

• Followed daily tube feeding/medicine schedules and administration to adult diagnosed with cerebral palsy
• Transports patient to/from bed to chair as needed to provide fully assisted activities of daily living.

• Taught enrichment classes of up to 20 K-6th children incorporating educational standards into lesson plan
• Was moved to administrative position within first year and was in charge of checking children in and out and ensuring every parent who picked up was authorized to do so
• Interim staff for Special Education or Pre-K Extended School Program whenever short staffed
• Any miscellaneous tasks given by site director

• Obtained 351 hours and 15 minutes of an internship under the lead occupational therapist for Rutherford County Schools
• Shadowed IEP meetings, assisted with treatments to the extent of being able to do so, wrote thee notes for treatments to be approved and signed off by lead therapist, led Pre-K Fine Motor Interventions, created modified chairs for two Special Ed Classrooms and many other miscellaneous tasks given by mentors

• Obtained 43 hours and 5 minutes of internship hours under primarily the Senior Occupational Therapist
• Observed treatments and documentation process along with any miscellaneous tasks

• Obtained 23 hours and 50 minutes under two school-based occupational therapists
• Observed treatments and assisted as allowed.
• Any miscellaneous tasks given to me by my mentors.
