Chaplain of The Year-2017

The Rocky Mountain Chaplains Association chose me among other chaplains in Colorado as Chaplain of the year in 2017. This was a recommendation from a family I have served through the Denver Hospice. In the course of my service, I encouraged and counseled the patient and his family as patient was worried about the religious  guilt and shame of opting for Medical Aid in Dying (MAID). My counsel helped him to opt for sloping dialysis, and let nature takes it course, so that he died naturally with dignity and saving his family the needed savings.

The award provided validation and recognition for my exceptional work among my peers

The perks for this award, provided me and my late wife a 3 night stay at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, plus $300 voucher for other expenses.
