Personal Information

I am a 35 year old male with three kids. I have been a tinkerer all my life. I grew up taking everything apart to see how it worked and putting it back together again. I have been working on things since i was little, from fixing bike to lawn mowers. naturally i am a curious person and like to see how things work. I started into mechanics by chance. I got a job at a friend of my parents shop called Performance Engines, pushing a broom and cleaning up for them. After working there for a little bit and always asking questions the owner asked me if i would be interested in learning how to take engines apart. i told him absolutely. I started to learn how to take engines apart and learn the inner workings of them and the components involved. After doing disassembly for a few months they took me to the junk yard and got me a motor. We took it back to the shop, and i was told if i can take it apart clean it, deck the heads and block and put it back together correctly that i could start learning how to build motors with them. so I began the task at hand, two days later it was back together and i began to be trained on building motors. My love for mechanics and thirst for knowledge helped me achieve the goal of building motors. Later on in life i decided to return back to my passion of mechanics and i went to work in the oilfield. while working for CUDD Energy Services i started out as a mechanic 1. Within six months i was promoted to mechanic 3. As a mechanic 3 i had a crew of three guys under me. i was in charge of a fleet of 35 frac pumps as well as 3 blenders and 2 hydration units and 40 tractors. While being in charge off all the equipment it my duty to schedule routine maintenance as well as fixing equipment as it went down for mechanical failures. While working in the oil field i did everything from changing turbos, hydraulic pumps, radiations to swinging a CAT 3512CHD engine. While it was a great experience in the oil field i missed my family so i decided to come home and be with them. but i feel like it is my time to go back to my passion and get back into mechanics.
