  • I was a camp counselor for the youngest age group, I never worked with kids before, but once I started there at the age of 17 I seen myself having a career with working with youth. I had a small job there only working for 5 hours a day because i was still a teen staff.
  • I went swimming, accounted for attendance, and worked a little bit in the front office.

Group Leader

YMCA
09.2021 - 06.2022
  • I started working for the YMCA in the Conservatory Lab lower school in 2021 during my senior year in high school. I worked with K-2, I started off being a co group leader because I was under 18 and I stayed in that position helping my colege set up, assist, and follow so I would be ready to lead my own group when I turned of age. I turned 18 and took over my own group and continued to work there the entire school year.
  • Working with K-2 gained me patience, I showed allot of compassion when working with the kids as well
  • I supervised and monitor the safety of the children, working with kids isn't only about monitoring them but to provided a safe environment , and following a education and meaningful curriculum.
  • There was a everyday schedule given, but there were some blocks that required planned activities or physical activities.

  • Going into this school I worked with elementary kids 3-7 grade, they definitely keep you on your toes.
  • I work with the kids from 2:00-6:00 monday-friday
  • Everyday we do have a schedule to follow but working with young kids initials creative thinking and out the box thinking to get them and keep them engaged.
