🔹 Clinical Support & Patient Intake

• Room and assess patients rapidly, including gathering chief complaints, performing triage, and taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, height/weight)
• Document patient history and medical data accurately into the Electronic Medical Record system using EMR platforms.

🔹 Diagnostic & Laboratory Testing

• Collect and process specimens—such as urine, blood, throat swabs (strep, flu, RSV), pregnancy tests—and perform point-of-care testing UNC Health
• Operate diagnostic equipment like EKG machines and oxygen monitors; perform quality control and maintain logs.

🔹 Clinical Procedures & Treatments

• Assist with minor procedures, including splinting, applying bandages, wound care, sutures/staple removal, ear lavage, and dressing changes
• Administer medications by injection (IM, Sub-Q), oral medications, breathing treatments, and sometimes vaccinations per state regulations Campus

🔹 Provider Assistance & Workflow Coordination

• Prepare treatment rooms, set up procedural trays, sterilize instruments, restock supplies daily, and ensure infection control standards.
