Cincinnati Animal Care
As a volunteer foster care provider at Cincinnati Animal Care, I provide temporary homes for animals in need, ensuring their well-being and socialization until they can be adopted. This role allows me to contribute to the community by helping animals find loving homes while also enhancing my skills in animal care and responsibility.
Lady of Lavang Vietnamese Church, Cincinnati
At the local Vietnamese church soup kitchen, I volunteered to assist in preparing and serving meals for the less fortunate and homeless during the holidays such as Christmas. This experience deepened my understanding of community needs and reinforced my commitment to service, as I worked alongside dedicated volunteers to promote support and compassion for those in need.
Tasty Pho & Crawfish Bar, West Chester
While working at my dad's restaurant, I helped organize a fundraiser in collaboration with the Vietnamese church youth group to raise money for 200 backpacks for underprivileged children. We prepared and served meals to the community, fostering a spirit of giving and engagement. Additionally, we held another charity event where we made hundreds of Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwiches by hand, with all proceeds directed towards local charitable initiatives. These experiences not only allowed me to give back but also strengthened my teamwork and organizational skills.
I enjoy a diverse array of fulfilling hobbies that enrich my life. Gardening with my family allows us to nurture nature’s beauty together. Cooking family recipes alongside my grandma not only creates lasting memories but also lets us savor delicious flavors that connect us to our Vietnamese heritage. Fishing with my family offers a peaceful way to bond and enjoy the outdoors. I also love expressing my creativity through painting at the park, where I can enjoy the beauty around me. To maintain balance in my life, I practice yoga and Pilates, which nurture both my physical and mental well-being.
