              My name is Tiffany Smith and I am expressing my interest in the School Resource Officer position. I have three years of military experience, five months of detention officer experience at the Coweta County Detention Center, and I am a Certified Peace Officer for Coweta County. I have a diploma in Criminal Justice Technology, a Certificate in Criminal Justice Fundamentals, and I am currently enrolled at Columbia Southern University to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Forensics Investigations. Previous experience and education are reasons I believe I would make an ideal candidate for the  School Resource Officer position. I have training in weapons handling, tactical movements, discipline, and de-escalation tactics. I also have education and skills developed while working within the military and my current position that has motivated me to pursue this position. I believe I would be a strong addition to the team.
