My responsibilities as Lab Supervisor:
Verify and submit employee time cards for payroll.
Approve vacation requests.
Address and resolve conflicts amongst employees. Give verbal warnings or write ups as needed per company policy.
Conduct weekly safety meetings.
Conduct initial interviews for potential employment.
Monitor work in progress and adjust production personnel as needed to avoid bottlenecks.
Attend weekly meetings to discuss new contact lens designs.
My responsibilities as Quality Assurance Specialist:
Maintain employee training logs.
Create and update Standard Operational Procedures binder.
Assist with FDA inspections and maintain compliance.
Calibrate radioscopes and lensometers every 6 months, autoclaves, thickness gauges and thermocouples every year.
Set up air linear motor lathes daily and change diamonds as needed.
My responsibilities as Lead Lab Technician:
Updated inventory logs and ordered materials as necessary for manufacturing.
Inspect lenses for power, optics, surface quality and blemishes prior to sterilization.
Custom mix three variations of saline solution as needed for hydrating, storing and shipping purposes.
Oversee production in Rigid Gas Permeable and Silicone Hydrogel Labs and delegate duties as needed to achieve product completion and shipment in timely manner.
