  • I have performed a full range of supervisory security officer duties by following, enforcing and executing specific rules, regulations, and procedures covering the Gallery’s law enforcement and security policies and procedures including but not limit to search and seizure, arrest procedures ; crowd control ; threats against personnel and property; Security investigations for detection of criminal activity; and fire detection systems and fire alarm response actions.
  • I have had the responsibilities that included, but not limit to Security Command Center (SCC) Supervisor with duties that include: to follow critical events and alarms and support the operators as needed, make the final decision to activate the Emergency Evacuation and/or Fire Alarm Annunciation system whenever appropriate, oversee all events, conditions, sequences and interfaces with AOP Operations, and track AOP Operations response personnel.
  • Follow up alarm event progress and determine resolutions and make notifications to other Gallery staff, as appropriate.

  • Also as Security Command Center (SCC) supervise, monitor, follow critical events, alarms through out the gallery and support the SCC operators as needed.
  • I have been trained and have thorough knowledge of the Gallery’s computerized security system and various types of alarms and detection devices that comprise the system, such as the Skyline Access Control Alarm Monitor Systems, Closed Circuit Television systems, Fire Alarm system and various other systems that are use to secure and protect personnel, property, buildings and grounds.

  • Whiles serving in the US Navy Reserves I stood the watch as a Joint Maritime Command Information System (JMCIS) Operator for Military Sealift Command Washington D.C.
  • As an Operator I was responsible for the JMCIS which provides a single integrated Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) system that receives, processes, displays, maintains and assesses the unit characteristics, employment scheduling, materiel condition, combat readiness, warfighting capabilities, positional information and disposition of own and Allied forces, and allows decision makers to optimize the allocation of resources.
  • Efforts included managing up to date threat assessments, operational information and logistics requirements to support deployed Navy assets.
  • Assisted in the preparation and conducting of operations and/or exercise related briefings for Commander, Military Sealift Command, his staff, and area command representatives.
  • Responsible for consolidating and editing information gathered from multiple information systems in the preparation and updating of various operations and/or exercise reports to Commander, Military Sealift Command.
  • Supported MSC participation in, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom. Including, ship deployment, and planning, Liaise with Commander, Military Sealift Command staff, area commands and other DoD agencies concerning ship movements.
