ELECTRICAL WORK REVIEWER CREW CHIEF

  • Schedule and perform inspections for various stages of construction, perform electrical testing and commissioning, monitor and document job progression, prepare reports in (WAMS) ensuring correct work orders are used for specific projects and to track overtime approvals
  • Negotiate completion dates with contractors and other city departments, coordinate acceptance for SCL
  • Collaborate with SCL and contractor crews on various jobs, utilizing in-depth knowledge of Network, Looped Radial and Substation construction methods to optimize efficiency
  • Involves working with a diverse workforce both internal and external, providing excellent customer service to all units, and being able to communicate effectively and professionally both in person and through written correspondence
  • Provide and coordinate Safety Standby for contractors working on or near SCL Underground Transmission and Distribution facilities and equipment
  • Oversee repairs as needed
  • Maintain open communication with management, engineers and service reps to address work schedule, resolve unforeseen obstacles and ensure construction feasibility
  • This requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills across a variety of construction disciplines
  • Currently attend and participate on all Construction Standards Committees including Network, Looped Radial/Streetlighting and Grounding and am a Subject Matter Expert and author for many of the most commonly used Standards
  • Mentor and train Electrical Reviewers, coordinate training programs for skills enhancements and continuing education.

CABLE SPLICER CREW CHIEF

  • Schedule, assign, and supervise work of cable splicing crews to ensure timely completion of projects
