Accomplishments

    I have practices speech and language therapy within the schools primarily but also have had experience within medical positions as well. During summers and breaks I have provided therapy within long term nursing facilities, hospitals and diagnostics. I have worked with the birth to 3 population, providing services via the First Steps Program.

    I have supervised many student teachers over the past 35 years and have had college and high school students shadow during therapy services.

    I have organized and provided speech/language "camp" services during summers.

    I am married and my husband and I are guardians to our great nieces and nephew. They came to live with us when in 2nd, 3rd, and 5th and are now in grades 10, 11 and first year college.

    Balancing work with an instant family was not easy but feel it made me work smarter and become even more organized to put family first and remain a dedicated and highly performing speech pathologist.

    I have earned highly performing within all evaluations while providing speech language services at HSE. Prior to this evaluation process I received evaluations that indicated that I put the needs of children first while performing with professionalism, having a strong understanding of my profession.
