Motivated hometown social worker with extensive experience in community service, resource coordination, and advocacy. Life long volunteer in the community who is well-connected with a strong passion for serving local residents. Skilled in assessing client needs and connecting individuals with essential resources. Adept at building trusting relationships, promoting inclusivity, and empowering individuals to improve their well-being. Energetic and highly engaged, dedicated to making a positive impact through direct community involvement and collaborative problem-solving.
Currently, I’m involved in a grassroots program in Tucumcari that started as a clean-up group that meets once a week to clean up abandoned properties. It has evolved into a great support system for our community. We are able to work with many other organizations, including the Senior Citizens and the Adult Protection Agency, where we help keep seniors in their homes by volunteering to clean and organize their living spaces to provide a safe environment. We also work with the DWI probation officer, providing a place for offenders to complete their community service. Additionally, we are working with the state, county, and city to create a more beautiful—and therefore safer—place for our citizens to live.
