I am a hardworking, motivated freshman at Whitman College with the intention of majoring in economics, most interested in macroeconomics, especially policy and central banking. I run on the cross country and track teams, and volunteer at schools in the community. I would love to use my critical thinking skills to solve economic problems.
I worked effectively with customers in a fast-paced environment. I had to explain rules while creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
I give high school students one-on-one help with math, mainly Algebra 2. I guide them through the steps and explain the concepts.
I assisted doctors and nurses with basic hospital tasks like cleaning, organization, and file management.
I assisted first graders in learning to read. I would go through words and sentences with them.
I show and explain an exhibit of bugs, both small, requiring microscopes, and big, to elementary school students. I actively engage with kids, explaining how to use the microscope and getting them to guess what a specimen is.
I got the Student-Athlete Award, handed only to one boy and one girl out of a class of over 400 total students at my high school because I ran varsity cross country and track every year- including my dedication to running the shortened season in 2021 when covid-19 had shut down schools, while also maintaining a 3.65 GPA and taking many AP and honors classes.
