How I would describe my self is, im a hard working lead by example kind of guy. Always willing to work hard at what ever needs done to finish the job. Im a guy if you need someone to talk to ill be there for you. I like to have fun and joke around when the time is appropriate, im always looking for ways to lead others if needed, but will also take orders respectfully. At the end of the day im the guy you want on your team, because I will always have your back.
As a maintenance assistant i will fix as many issuies as my skills will offer even if i have to learn something new. Which i find my self doing everyday. I bring the fire fighters in the district supplies and tools as needed to keep them in service. I have to be ready to work on anything at any time of the day, and be ready to have plans change as high priority problems come up. In this job I have found you have to be very flexible in your schedule, and open minded as new things are thrown at me everyday. I have learned to just attack everyday, and problem with a smile and a great attitude, because nothing will resolve its self from a bad attitude and without excellent effort. I have also learned that I have to work with different personalities and attitudes through out my day. The best way I have found to make all my interactions with everyone positive is to come in with a smile and communicate with the fire fighters about what ill be doing while im at at there station/home, also I always clean up after myself leaving the area I work in nicer than I found it.
With my time at Alderwood landscaping I was the lead man for the warranty side of the business. My role was to take a crew around to our assigned projects for the day with a list of things to fix that a home owner either didn't like the outcome of, or part of the landscaping has failed. I would communicate with the home owners who were angry about the project, and I would always explain to them me and my crew will fix it the right way in a timely manor doing our best work. Our goal at the end of the day is to leave every house we worked at with a satisfied customer. This job has taught me to work hard, be organized, and to be a leader.
As a football coach and wrestling coach at mead I taught freshman athletes the fundamentals and basic safety and skills for them to play the game. trying to pass down the knowledge I accumulated during my years as an athlete at Mead high school. Some key points I learned while coaching at mead is people learn at different speeds and different intensities, So you have to be creative and change up your drills to simplify but also keep practice interesting I really enjoyed working with all different kinds of personalities and characters of the high school kids
