I worked for CDI (Rayus Radiology) for nearly 22 years in the Transcription Department. I had a great rapport with the Radiologists I worked for as well as the other coworkers I worked with. I was let go due to "restructuring" but always enjoyed my time working there. I would love the opportunity to again work for Rayus Radiology and feel my experience and work history is definitely in line with the position I am applying for.

- Entered orders for urine, blood and pathology specimens from 30+ locations in Florida and South Carolina.
- Labeled each specimen to then be ran by a Laboratory Technician.
- Answered phones. Faxed, emailed, uploaded results if requested to several different EMR's.
- Investigated missing results and resolving any issues found.
- Scanning all lab requisitions into Microsoft Teams.
Medical Transcriptionist / Insurance Authorizations

- Primary duties were transcribing office visit notes into Word and then transferring them into their current EMR system
- After switching to a voice recognition system, I then transferred over to doing insurance authorizations for office visits
- That entails faxing and calling for authorizations through the PCP's office and then following up making sure we have all the authorizations for that particular day
- I am also responsible for making sure all insurance information and patient demographics are entered correctly into the EMR and verifying insurance eligibility
- I am a contact person for all of our office staff needing to check on any authorizations that may be needed
- This position is also a customer service role as it requires a lot of phone calls to doctors' offices and to patients as well to collect all the information needed to acquire the proper authorizations

- Company Overview: an outpatient imaging center performing MRI, CT, US, Nuclear Medicine, and needle procedures
- Primary duties were transcribing radiology reports for multiple physicians in several different markets
- I have worked on several computer systems while at CDI and ultimately went from transcribing to editing reports via a voice recognition system
- Made sure all reports were transcribed accurately and in a timely fashion
- My job was very dependent on accuracy, productivity and time management and I met all those requirements while employed there
- I did a lot of data entry and making sure all patient information was entered correctly into our EMR/EHR
- I also spent a few years entering orders for exams which included entering insurance information, patient demographics, health history, etc
- I also performed other duties when needed including answering phones, worked at front desk checking in/out patients and entering patient demographics
- I was in a Lead role while working remotely and also while working in one of our Centers
- I also did QA for our physicians in several different markets monthly/quarterly
