With more than 25 years of teaching experience as an intervention specialist, I am seeking employment to utilize my skills as a professional in a challenging new field. I have expertise in a variety of techniques for teaching students. I understand and have used multiple ways to track progress and measure student behavior. I collaborate with teachers and use current and suggested intervention methods. I have worked with identified students to improve reading decoding, encoding and comprehension, written expression, writing mechanics, math computation, math application, math problem solving, and study skills and behavior. In addition to my small group instruction, I have participated within grade level classrooms to help students achieve success with their everyday goals. I have considerable experience and work well with parents. I prepare reports for my students by executing appropriate tests and tracking progress data. I can analyze strengths and weaknesses to develop academic plans for my students' appropriate grade level curriculum and use best individual practices. I use parent input to help focus on areas of academic concern, as well as staff and teacher comments to gear students for success. I can explain data and plans effectively to show my knowledge of each student. I've contributed valuable information in a positive way throughout my career and am excited about investigating new ways to contribute.
