I have recently retired from my thirty-two year career as a Language Arts teacher, where I was fortunate enough to work with some of the most amazing young minds in the world: teenagers. Their enthusiasm for life, their fascinating mood swings, their passion and zest in expressing their wide range of thoughts was what got me out of bed every morning for more than three decades. Along with loving teaching, I have always loved being close to the earth. I have raised chickens, pigs, goats, and have had a garden my entire adult life. In the second have of my life, I would like to have an experience where I help things grow in an environment closer to nature and all that she has to offer.
