Dedicated elementary educator with 36 years at Mason City Community School District, excelling in differentiated instruction and classroom management. Passionate about fostering collaborative learning environments and enhancing literacy strategies. Committed to making a lasting impact on young lives, I am eager to continue inspiring future generations beyond retirement.
I have been part of the Mason City Community School District for the past 36 years. My student teaching experience was in Clear Lake, IA at the 6th grade level. My first year of teaching with Mason City Schools was at Madison Elementary at the 3rd grade level. For the past 35 years I've been teaching 2nd grade at Jefferson Elementary. This has been a rewarding career for myself both professionally and raising a family of three boys. My plans are to retire from this position on May 30, 2025 of this year, but I'm still wanting to be involved with young children and making an impact on their lives.

After graduating from high school I worked as a Lake Patrol officer with the Department of Natural Resources in Clear Lake, IA in the summers as a part time summer job.
