  • Coordinated care between multiple service providers to ensure clients received services that are going to provide the best training while addressing their needs. I am making sure that the client is able to have a say about the services, and have a better understanding about how this will be a benefit for them.
  • Gathered information from mental and physical health, and educational records to make recommendations and determine appropriate case/safety plans.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of services provided.
  • Conducted home and community visits as part case management services, Ensuring safety, going over the in-home safety plan, identifying any strengths, needs, and services that are needed.
  • Caseload has been a wide range from Drug court/Family Support court, domestically violent individuals and survivors, Sex Offenders, Teen caseload, Independent Living Program, incarcerated individuals,
  • I treat all clientele with the upmost respect and dignity while trying to use and incorporate their own culture and identity to build success from and reduce the barriers: LBGTQ+, teen pregnancies, immigration, Native American.
  • Assisted clients with crisis intervention, providing immediate support, utilizing trauma informed practices, and coordinating necessary resources for stabilization.
  • Not only go into the parents home to determine safety but also conducted interview of youth and parents when they were in In-Patient A/D centers, Group homes, residential treatment centers, DD homes, SACU, BRS facilities. If concerns arise then calls were made into the hotline.
  • Written reports are completed in a timely manner: Court reports, Case Plans, Safety plans, Supervision Plans, CPS assessments, Action Agreements, Letters of Expectations, Referral reports to Psychologists, Referrals to mental health, medical, and educational providers, Citizen Review Board packets.
  • Testimony provided to the courts in the form of evidentiary hearings, Permanency hearings, Trials.
  • Conducting CPS assessments with open mind, seeking truth while being respectful to the individual with understanding that the situation could be traumatic to them.
  • Maintain annual required trainings through the Oregon Department of Human Services.
  • A member of the Teen Summit, Permanency Summit, and the Self Selective Environment Groups.
  • Huge advocate for Foster Youth Bill of Rights, Sibling Bill of Rights, and my collaboration with the Ombudsmen's office.
  • While working in the Lincoln County Branch, I have been a CPS worker, Permanency worker, Meeting facilitator.

  • I only left this position to go back to Illinois for family issues that needed my full time attention. As soon as I was able to move back, I did and went right back into Child Welfare but in a different branch.
