  • Resolves identified questionable return problems through telephone contact, written correspondence, including replies and follow-ups to initial correspondence, and issue determinations.
  • Process return and payment maintenance to establish and adjust taxpayer assessments for tax, interest and/or penalty. Professionally communicates, both orally and in writing, with taxpayers and district office staff to resolve return reporting issues, assists with return preparation and local tax and district tax reporting; addresses questions relating to the billing, adjustment, analysis, delinquency maintenance.
  • Responsible for reviewing the work of professional staff and complex cases, as well as working independently and completing special projects of the most complex nature and assisting staff at all levels in the Branch.     Reconcile monthly outstanding receivables (revenues, reimbursements, etc.) list from A/R Unit and program staff to corresponding general ledger account balances;
    • Reconcile monthly the appropriations and fund balances for less difficult funds between
    the SCO and Departmental records; analyze, research, and correct reconciling
    differences;
    • Reconcile General Cash balances for assigned fund(s); research and resolve
    differences.
    • Research and resolve accounting transaction errors on error file list.
    • Analyze budget reports for overspending and inactivity of accounts.
  • Enter invoices into FI$CAL in accordance with FI$CAL procedures.
