  • I am tasked with some difficult challenges in this role, as the properties I am currently overseeing are in unique positions. The overall vision for these properties has shifted multiple times due to ownership changes, however I have still been able to lead both teams to success! I oversee all hotel operations for both an IHG branded property, as well as a Choice property. I had the opportunity to attend the Choice Convention 2025 and gained some valuable insight into the Choice brand, which I have the least amount of experience with. I have currently finished training a permanent GM for one property, and am in the process of training one for the second property. While managing these properties, I have been tasked with: Accounting; Payroll; A/P; A/R; Staff Development & Recruiting; Human Resources; F&B Director; Banquets & Events Director; Restaurant & Bar Manager to name a few. These challenges have helped me grow exponentially as a leader in hospitality. This role has prepared me to be even more versatile and adaptive, able to handle any situation that may come my way, and do so while leading a team that delivers exceptional hospitality to each and every guest, no matter what.

  • In this role, I was tasked with a wide range of challenges including property takeovers/new acquisition properties; New build projects; As well as recovering existing properties within the SSG Hotels portfolio, that may be under-performing in a variety of different aspects.   • In this position, I am responsible for the overall success of the hotel. I was able to lead this property from RED in GSS/MEDALLIA to CLEAR in a matter of (6) months! My biggest challenge here has been staffing and staff development, which is a current trend within the industry. I wrote all operating policy and procedure and created SOPs for virtually every position and every task within that position, to ensure effective and seamless operations. I have developed a strong staff of (15-18) individuals, and have begun to shape several into future hospitality leaders.   • In this position I am responsible for the day-to-day operations of the front-office. I manage a staff of 15 hosts, night managers and MITs. I perform daily rooms control to “balance the house” and place our most loyal guests in the ideal rooms. I focus a lot of my time on guest services and recovery. Monitor GSS scores through HySat/Medallia and share with the team to address areas of opportunity. I am also responsible for controlling billing for transient and group reservations, as well as maintaining clear records of all our airline crew reservations that stay with us each day. This position requires me to communicate with all departments in this full-service hotel, as the front-office is the center of it all.

  • In this position, I was responsible for all day-to-day operations of the property. My goal was to provide a superior experience to our guests. I was responsible for creating the weekly work schedule for all departments (front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance personnel) I conducted interviews for all positions within the property and hired qualified candidates for the appropriate position. I monitored our PMS (property management system) daily to ensure our property was not overbooking guests and to ensure our front desk agents knew exactly what was available to our guests on any given day. I performed routine daily inspections of guest rooms and all common areas within the property to ensure the conditions fit our requirements. I conducted daily performance meetings with hotel staff to set goals for the day and address any outstanding issues we had at the property. I conducted weekly audits of all transactions within the property to ensure transparency.
