  • Serves as the lead operator and direct contact for Bulk Solids Operators and Material Handlers.
  • Utilize an HMI and many other software programs to log and monitor production, communicate with management, and notify maintenance of any issues within the unit.
  • Facilitate the destruction of hazardous waste through a process unit similar to Bulk Solids. The protection of a nitrogen blanket allows this system to process volatile materials with flash points of less than 140°.
  • Maintain operation over the Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer, which pulls and destroys VOCs, pollutants, and odors from all departments within the facility before exhausting them to the atmosphere.
  • Daily inspection of all process areas for any compliance, safety, or housekeeping issues.
  • Issues permits, and performs lockout-tagout and gas monitoring for all work in the unit.
  • Provided leadership, insight, and mentoring to newly hired employees to supply knowledge of expectations, goals, and operations of the unit.
  • Effectively performs all duties associated with the Bulk Solids Operator.

  • Operate as a console operator on an HMI-driven program to ensure the functionality of all equipment, as well as bringing equipment online or shutting equipment down for repairs and outages.
  • Blend compatible processed material using industrial grade articulating arm mounted on a fixed pedestal operated from a control room. Constantly mixing to ensure a homogeneous mix to optimize feed rates.
  • Check burn plans to ensure all staged materiel is listed. Double check for compatibility and any other process directions that may be listed.
  • Keep an accurate log of activities, maintenance work, downtime, and production reports.
  • Write permits for hot work, confined space entry, and line breaks.
  • Operate a over head crane to transport material to burn conveyor.
  • Operate in compliance with regulations from RCRA, DOT, EPA, DEA and TCEQ.
  • Assign tasks to employees and monitor productivity, performance, and all safety concerns.
  • Check work areas to detect leaks or equipment malfunctions to promote safe operating conditions and minimize down time.
