I have years of experience in restaurant service from late teen years. I worked at steak houses as a line cook and spent time bar backing. Early 20s i switched to retail. I spent a couple years working at a gas station. I was trained with cash registers, filled propane tanks, and rented out U-hauls. I then moved to delivery driving at a auto paint supplier. It was my first driving job. I then entered the medical felid as a first responder. It was still driving but i had to be certified in various medical procedures and knowledge of medical devices. I eventually moved to North Carolina . Started at a home medical equipment company. been working there since, use to be full-time but moved to part-time in order to find other work due to differences of scheduling.
We would deliver hospice equipment to nursing homes or patients homes. Everything from concentrators, wheelchairs, and assembled beds. Get orders to hook up equipment for patients, when the patient expires i go back to site to dissemble equipment and bring back to warehouse.
Start the Shift by finding your assigned partner for the shift, find the assigned ambulance given for the shift. Inspect vehicle and prepare for the day. Dispatch would give us call orders to pick up patients from various locations. Then transport the Patient to the destination. Mostly discharges and baker act calls. Ensure the patient was stable till destination was reached.
Customers Would call in and order items or use the website. Orders were then sent to the Warehouse where i would find the items and secure them in the truck. Then i would deliver items to the destination
