• Provide oversight for several accelerator and test facilities.
• Support implementation of the 10 CFR 835 program.
• Work under minimal supervision to plan, design, manage, and evaluate technical and operational functions of radiation safety programs.
• Develop, edit and implement procedures and policies relating to radiation safety and dosimetry.
• Head technician in the dosimetry department, answering all emails, phone calls and in person issues that arise.
• Direct and supervise Health Physics Technicans in supporting Dosimetry services.
• Knowledge of programs including but not limited to, ODTS (Occupational Dose Tracking System), Excel, Microsoft etc.
• Shipping and receiving of personnel dosimeters, area monitors and environmental dosimeters to and from Laundaur.
• Review and maintain dose reports, dose investigations and history.

Highlight: The average amount of unreturned dosimeters prior to my arrival was 20, my first quarter I was able to receive all but two. I have strived to keep this number low and reorganize the parts of our program that has needed it.

• Passed onsite DOE core and site-specific exams.
• Completed multiple onsite training; Fullface and Papr certified, current HAZWOPPER 40hr.
• Work in the AMWTP area supporting waste movement, shipping, deactivating, demolition, and remediation of facility structures and soil contamination.
• Work in contamination areas, radiation areas and airborne areas.

• Passed HAMMER DOE core and site-specific exams.

• Work in the 200 West Area Remediation Project supporting characterizing, deactivating, demolition, and remediation of facilities and soil contamination.

• 6 Week training program was provided onsite to attain knowledge of radiological work.
• PORTS core test and site-specific test successfully passed on site.
• Work in x-326 bldg., supporting decontamination and decommissioning of the highest contaminated building that was used for enriching uranium.
• Work in x-720 bldg., supporting import/export and shipment of radiological material offsite.
• Work in x-710 bldg., supporting environmental research to include soil and water sampling to be shipped offsite for testing at various national laboratories.
• Overall support for D&D sitewide.

• Current class A CDL with tanker endorsement.
• Drove dump trucks and flatbed tractor trailers.
• Ran several pieces of equipment including backhoe, track hoe, skid steer, dozer, bucket truck etc.
• Hauled equipment to and from work sites, plowed snow, drove both night and day shift.
• Preformed regular road maintenance, guardrail repair, traffic control, tree trimming, paving, etc.
• Joined the district wide safety group to help discuss and implement safety measures.
