  • Support implementation of the 10 CFR 835 program.
  • Work under minimal supervision to plan, design, manage, and evaluate technical and operational functions of radiation safety programs.
  • Develop, edit and implement procedures and policies relating to radiation safety and dosimetry.
  • Head technician in the dosimetry department, answering all emails, phone calls and in person issues that arise.
  • Direct and supervise Health Physics Technicans in supporting Dosimetry services.
  • Knowledge of programs including but not limited to, ODTS (Occupational Dose Tracking System), Excel, Microsoft etc.
  • Shipping and receiving of personnel dosimeters, area monitors and environmental dosimeters to and from Laundaur.
  • Review and maintain dose reports, dose investigations and history.

Highlight: The average amount of unreturned dosimeters prior to my arrival was 20, my first quarter I was able to receive all but two. I have strived to keep this number low and reorganize the parts of our program that has needed it.
