The Harvest Crew

I began harvesting the week after the program started and always meet with my co-workers and interns inside the farm. My boss, Kenya, will make a group for each crew, the first group will be the washing crew, which will go to the washing station to clean black containers and dishes and when it's dry the intern will label the crop name and the date on the container, the second group, the harvest crew, will take out the healthy grown plants from the beds and put them evenly in the containers with the same amount each, the third group, the cleaning crew, will organize the table and the shipping container, making them look neat and presentable, and the last group, the cooking crew, will be trained by a dietitian to use the equipment to cook healthy meals every morning and evening.

My Experience

As a harvester to be in the second crew, I was very sweaty when I was taking out plants, especially when I have to use a green thin tape that wasn't sticky to tie the sticks (correct me if I'm wrong) close to the plant. I kept harvesting until it was time for my break and I would still have the motivation to continue to work. Every time when I go into the shipping container it always becomes filthy the next 2 days. So I would use my time to take every items out from the shipping container, one-by-one, clean the inside of it and this well help me categorize and organize the items where they need to be so that people won't putting up equipments anywhere randomly. I'd also like to help my co-workers with assist and this will make their mindset know about who's caring and improves having a high self esteem.
