  • Currently building an app to help users keep track of pre-flight procedures for VR flight simulation. (Microsoft Flight Simulator, DCS, etc)
  • Working in collaboration through the mentorship of an experienced iOS Developer

"WeightTracker"

  • A mobile application developed to address user needs related to tracking daily weight and progress towards a goal weight. This project demonstrates knowledge and skills in mobile app development, particularly in implementing user authentication, database management, and UI design using fragments.
  • The main components of the app include:

- user authentication

- daily logging of weights, with each entry automatically timestamped

- goal setting (users can set a goal weight for themselves by tapping a "star" icon.

- SMS notifications (the app provides an option to set SMS notification preferences to alert users when they reach their goal weight. 

  • The user-centered UI design focuses on ease of use and navigation. It includes a list of daily weights and options to add, edit, and remove entries.
  • The coding process involved researching design techniques and implementing fragments for a more organized and responsive user experience. Testing was done using Log statements to verify correct behavior, particularly during the login authentication process.
  • Built using Java, Android Studio, and MongoDB.
