Teaching Experience

  • Artventure OC 2021-2022
  • I managed the adult art classes in which I taught students across a broad range of skill levels from beginners to advanced students. I worked with students to utilize a variety of traditional media in both drawing and painting. I also served as a substitute teacher for the teen and children’s classes.
  • Pasadena Learning and Products Expo 2006
  • I taught two, three hour seminars on animal drawing and anatomy. I placed an emphasis on learning the large masses of the body, of several common groups of animals, such as dogs, cats, horses, and primates. The class was designed to prepare the students for drawing animals from life in a setting such as a zoo, farm, or park. My goals was to give the students a basic understanding of gesture drawing so that they could render form quickly, in preparation for a more detailed study later on, or just as a way to become more proficient at drawing in general.
