Being born and raised in Hawaii, I was fortunate to live right across from the beach. I grew up around the ocean and canoe surfing, paddling, as well as diving were activities my family enjoyed as a way to spend time together out on the water. Surfing and canoe paddling are a huge part of my life as its a way for me to stay connected to my culture but also keeps me connected to the ocean.
