Work History

Resident Assistant

Michigan Technological University
08.2022 - 12.2024

Assist Michigan Tech Residence Education and Housing Services with all functions relating to resident and dormitory care, including:

  • Organizing events throughout the semester to facilitate resident engagement.
  • Building communities within and outside the dorm buildings to help residents feel at-home on campus.
  • Helping residents whenever with whatever.
  • Enforcing the student code of conduct and residence education living guide policies, including reporting obligations (Title IX).
  • Upholding the highest standard of safety, legal, and personal integrity at all times.

LEOS Engineering Intern

Boeing
06.2024 - 08.2024

Worked as a software, firmware, and networking engineer and developer on two major projects:

  • Designed and built a C# .NET cross-platform application used to interface between two pre-furnished applications using different networking APIs (gRPC and UDP). This application also included a cross platform GUI.
  • Ported C++ software, from VxWorks real-time operating system, to other RTOS systems. This process included implementing design patterns to enable cross-compilation.

These projects included working with senior engineers and engineering managers, proposal teams, and developers on many different systems.

Student Academic Mentor

Michigan Technological University
08.2023 - 12.2023

Tutored and mentored students on learning and excelling in Discrete Mathematics, a course at Michigan Technological University.

  • Funded by an NSF grant and facilitated by two professors of theoretical computer science in the College of Computing.
  • Sessions involved lectures, individualized tutoring, and group tutoring, and required mentors to organize their own sessions.
  • Tutoring happened during the semester.
  • Topics include logic, combinatorics, proofs, set theory, and some introductory function theory.

LEOS Engineering Intern

Boeing
06.2023 - 08.2023

Worked on two projects involving software development and research:

  • Developed C++ software using OpenCV (built with CUDA) to leverage GPU hardware that increased the speed and effectiveness of certain image processing tasks related to the Boeing Compact Laser Weapon System (CLWS).
  • Researched multiple-object tracking via different neural network architectures to better understand the plausibility of low speed, high accuracy object tracking and labeling to improve the image-based tracking system on CLWS.
