As a Marine I have been put into leadership since day one. Starting with boot camp, being made a squad leader from the first week to graduation receiving a meritorious promotion. From there when I went to School of Infantry and I was selected to be squad leader a second time. I then promoted to Guide of my platoon at the end of my second phase of training. Finally in School House, where I learned my skills needed for my job, 3531 motor transport operator, I was made Guide once more then Class Leader. I was top three in my class to graduate. My job currently in the Marines consist of the transportation of any kind of equipment, whether be heavy equipment, ammunition supplies logistics or other personnel to be transported.
As a construction worker, I managed multiple jobs. I mainly worked on military bases, such as Fort Irwin Edwards Air Force Base. Also worked new construction residential, building of new homes and preparation, and working with small crews. I individually completed jobs in a timely manner and maintained and transported high end equipment.
I have received in my Marine Corps training my ammo and hazmat certification allowing me to transport hazards along with explosive cargo when needed for training. Along with my Class A license with in the Military .
The Gung-Ho award is an award that recognizes a Marine who displays exponential, physical, mental, moral discipline, and leadership traits. It is only given to one Marine per cycle. The instructors along with your fellow peers will vote for who receive the award.
