At The Ohio State University, I excelled as a Facilities Engineering Specialist, adeptly managing asset information and enhancing preventive maintenance through CMMS proficiency and innovative QR code implementation. Recognized for outstanding problem-solving abilities and teamwork, I significantly contributed to building safety and efficiency, demonstrating a commitment to quality assurance and customer relations.
I collect and manage all asset information at The Ohio State Universities FOD buildings at the main campus. I use our CMMS system to upload all pictures and technical information to each individual asset. Example: (Fire doors, Fire Extinguishers, BAS HVAC equipment, Fire Alarm systems, just to name a few. I also label each asset with a QR code label, so when our maintenance technicians perform preventive maintenance they can upload all the technical information on that piece of equipment being worked on. I have also escorted our insurance company FM Global through each and every FOD building on our main campus so they could make an assessment on each building. I occasionally perform building walk throughs with my fellow engineers in my department to ensure cleanliness, machinery is in good working order, and ensure the buildings envelope is in good structural standing. (roof, grounds, entryways, handicap ramps etc). If any discrepancies are noted, I will assign a work order through CMMS to the shop responsible for that particular piece of equipment for correction.
