Conduct filed investigations to locate and refer anyone known to be infected or suspected of being infected with an STD to a proper medical facility for testing or treatment. Conduct interviews of infected patients to obtain information on sexual contacts. Obtain field blood from contacts to find a source or spread symptoms, and prevention of contracting sexually transmitted infections. Contact high priority patients such as pregnant females who are infected to get them quickly treated so that their unborn child is not infected. Perform data entry, phlebotomy, verification of treatment from providers, verification of care of HIV patients, and obtaining viral load status. Conduct visits at the Juvenile Detention Center, jail, and prison. Conduct interviews of those entered into the Stars database for follow-up and case management.
