Summary
Started with Graton Fire Department in November of 2022 at age sixteen as a cadet, then to trainee when I was eighteen. I was with Graton for almost two years where I attended drill every Thursday. Interviewed and was accepted as an explorer with Sonoma County Fire in July of 2023 at age seventeen. I am still with SCFD as an Explorer Captain. The skills I have acquired over the several years I have been working are extremely beneficial to my future career in the Fire and EMS service. My experience, from the two jobs I have had since 2021 plus my fire career experience starting at age sixteen, give me an advantage that others may not have, that you need in this career. Talking to people and figuring out the best solution for them is one of my strongest skills, among many others that I have learned. Working under pressure is something I truly enjoy and excel at, as well as being a leader. I have a strong desire to serve my community and help people in need; which I believe, is the reason why I have started this career experience at sixteen.
- I am a quick learner and always eager to be hands-on, whether it is with training or on calls. I am extremely passionate about my career and just straight up hungry for action and eager to get my career started.
