Heavy machinery was always a career that intrigued me while attending High School. As a fresh graduate I knew I wanted to further my education. I decided to follow my thoughts of becoming a service technician by getting a jumpstart with OSUIT. I contacted Kirby-Smith Machinery and away I went. I spent 2 full years attending OSUIT in Okmulgee, OK to graduate and successfully be hired on full time. Right at one year of being a shop technician I was given the promotion to field service technician. During my years as a field technician I have been fortunate to receive an abundance of very helpful manufacturer training. The training ranges anywhere from NPK attachments, specific machine model training, intelligent machine control training, etc. I would like to consider myself as a well rounded mechanic. I enjoy what I do and will happily continue to improve my skills and become even better. However I will always leave the door open to moving forward in my career and making my way to higher positions.
After graduating OSUIT with an associates degree in applied sciences and technician certification from Komatsu machinery I focused mainly on the preventative maintenance, repair, diagnostics, and complete service of Komatsu dirt equipment in the shop for right at a year. I have since been promoted to a field service technician and have been running a truck for Kirby-Smith since 2016.
