Year-long paid internship and mentorship program for bipoc
high school juniors and seniors to gain professional work
development and skillsets within the arts and culture industry.
Students work in many areas including but not limited to
gallery docent, facilities maintenance, event staff, store retail
associate, and gallery installations.

Key responsibilities include taking orders or preparing food,
assisting in resolving any service or food issues, maintaining
food-safety standards and maintaining a clean, safe work and
dining environment.

• Assisted with special events and programs.
• Maintained clean, neat, and operational facilities to serve program needs.
• Supported engaging, fun, and smooth-running events by helping with organization and planning.
• Used strong interpersonal communication skills to convey information to others.
• Assisted with the basketball program (reffing, score clock, coaching).

During this experience, I was hired as an entrepreneur. I learned about financial literacy, customer service, and creating my own business. I prepared for and took an exam to receive a certification in Customer Service.
