Role Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 80+ associates to consistently deliver 400k+ customer orders safely and accurately daily.
• Planned and supervised shipments from sortation to delivery stations and scheduled daily routes.
• Managed both inbound and outbound ground departments, overseeing the departing/arrival of loads as well as the offloading/loading of customer packages.
• Coordinated dispatching of 23 drivers daily to accomplish delivery requirements in the Outbound department.
• Filed daily and weekly reports that tracked department growth and efficiency.
• Actively sought daily process improvements for associates by partnering with support teams (HR, Safety).
• Crafted daily sortation plans for the Inbound Ground department that allowed us to efficiently induct customer orders alongside Air Induction.

Achievements

• Reduced department turnover by 35% in the first two quarters of employment
• Partnered with Non-Inventory to produce an efficient method of recycling Gaylords from the Inbound Ground department to the Outbound Ground department that saved us over $7500 a week between both shifts.
• Identified and resolved process issues to encourage smoother procedures, more efficient workflow and overall department growth.
• Played a critical role in developing a self service tool that gave associates quick and easy access to HR related information. This HR Self-Service Board was recognized by Sarah Rhoads and is was implemented Amazon Air wide.
• Worked one-on-one with several associates to help develop and promote within Amazon.
