  • Perform PDI (Pre delivery inspections) which includes a checklist: Inspect exterior for body damage, Inspect if all electrical systems are properly functioning exterior & interior
  • Check if all plumbing systems are functioning
  • Perform full in house tour inspection if there is any damages such as flooring, roof, counters, kitchen appliances, home furnitures, bedding, safety protocols (fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide, smoke alarms, LP systems), checking if electrical systems are functioning such as beds, heaters, ac, solar panels, slideouts, awnings, washer, dryers and converters/inverters
  • While Performing PDI checklist if conditions are not met, repair anything that requires attention which includes jobs such as body sealant, roof sealant, replacing safety protocols such as expired safety alarms or fire extinguisher, replacing batteries, aligning crooked drawers, fixing windows or replacing windows, provide any hardware if missing, etc
  • Diagnosing a problem for example such as unworking refrigerator and perform correction, etc
  • We have a parts department to receive any specific part and must precisely request and document work orders on our work tablet to keep the inventory system up to date
  • Everything performed on EACH rv must be documented on our tablet punched into a specific job and out and to complete in a timely manner
  • After each job is finished, write up a story of the problem and a correction and include evidence such as before and after photos
  • Install Starguard and programming rv to receive a gps tracking system
  • If the winter season is approaching, perform winterization for all Rvs
  • Removing LP tanks and installation of LP tanks also filling tanks to full as well
  • Flush out sewer systems with proper safety precautions
  • Rvs can be small so jobs can require being in tight spaces and uncomfortable positions for a decent amount of time
  • Everyone has their own rv to work on but work days had plenty of times where jobs were not capable of doing solo
  • Communication was very important in the shop asking for help or helping was very important to complete our daily task whether it be with other techs, the parts department, higher up management, as well as the customers
  • Pausing current assignment to perform waiters, which means clients come in for a specific repair and expected to be done within a short amount of time
  • Inspection and repair or replacement of the actual automotive functionalities of vehicles such as alternators, wheels, tires, battery, wiper fluid, turn signals, lights, DYE, and filling up gas tanks with store credit card
  • Perform recalls could be anything from rewiring underneath the coach such as alternator, lp tank, installing harnesses to awning, seats, slideouts, installing new water tank, water heater, washer and dryer, refrigerator, stove top, ovens or batteries etc
  • Lifting objects anything from10lbs-200 lbs while up on roofs, ladders, and using the right tools and safety precautions to do so
