I was sworn in as a Sheriff’s Deputy with the Valley County Sheriff’s Office, where I gained firsthand exposure to law enforcement and public safety responsibilities. I participated in ride alongs with the Sheriff and other deputies, observing how they responded to calls, handled challenging situations, enforced laws, and interacted with members of the public. I also attended the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center, where I began developing my knowledge of law enforcement procedures, report writing, communication, de escalation, and conflict resolution before my training was cut short. This experience gave me a better understanding of how to remain calm under pressure, assess situations, make responsible decisions, and maintain professionalism when dealing with difficult circumstances. It also reinforced the importance of accountability, sound judgment, and treating individuals fairly and respectfully. These experiences have helped prepare me to work with residents in a structured environment, address concerns appropriately, and encourage responsible behavior.

I attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney after graduating from high school, where I studied Criminal Justice and minored in Coaching. During my freshman year, I joined Phi Delta Theta fraternity and later served as Warden on the executive board. As Warden, I was responsible for holding fellow members accountable for their actions and addressing situations when members failed to meet the fraternity's expectations. I also worked with other executive board members to make decisions that affected the fraternity and its members. In addition, I participated in philanthropic events and fundraisers, contributing to the fraternity's efforts to support the community. These experiences taught me the importance of leadership, fairness, accountability, and making decisions that benefit the group as a whole. They also helped me learn how to address concerns, communicate expectations, and hold others responsible while maintaining positive relationships.
