On Liberty Packing, making the sauce for the pouches can get a bit difficult because the ingredients are heavy, so at times they send extra people to help.

• Assisted in the preparation of the sauce, measuring and depositing the ingredients on the tanks whenever I was told.
• Obtained samples of the sauce to be analyzed by my colleagues in the kitchen and the lab.
• Operated the equipment correctly, maintaining cleanliness and functionality. Keep the space clean and safe.
• Always informed the supervisor whenever something went wrong, even if it was my mistake.

On shifts of 8-12 hours, my job was to be on a platform with automatic scales that receive, measure and then deposit tomato on the line that makes pouches.

• Operated and calibrated the scales to make sure that the right amount of tomato (whether being whole peel or diced) was deposited on the pouch line.
• Collaborated with team members to maintain a safe working environment and adhere to protocols. For example, if the tomato got stuck, I had to notify the people from downstairs, turn off the machine and try to unclog the machine.
• Reduced downtime by keeping the area clean, and trying to make it a safe environment.
