Carefully analyzed test results and information gathered during examinations to properly diagnose illnesses and diseases on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
Gained experience in the outpatient setting by seeing patients in the Internal Medicine Clinic as well as in various subspecialties including Cardiology, Nephrology, GI, Neurology, Pulmonology, Hematology/Oncology, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Endocrine and Infectious Disease.
Gained experience with basic medical floor work including phlebotomy, medical procedures for IV access, procedures such as Paracentesis, LP and Transvenous pacemakers to name a few.
Learned how to manage patients in the Cardiac critical care setting in addition to the Medical ICU.
Learned how to admit patients to the inpatient setting and differentiate between monitored care and routine inpatient care.
Received "Intern of the Month" for the Month of November in my PGY-1 year.
Have been rewarded for excellence in medical documentation as well as recommendations by patients for providing good patient care and bedside manner.
Consistently have been assessed by Medical Attendings, who have been pleased with the level of work ethic and professionalism.
Worked on QI projects in order to strengthen the level of care provided by the housestaff including (but not limited to) CHF- getting with the guidelines, stoplight initiative, CDU research and initial project regarding discharge planning.
Streamlined communication channels within the team leading to more efficient coordination during rounds or consultations.
Served as a mentor for junior residents, facilitating growth through constructive feedback and practical guidance during clinical rotations.
