I graduated high school May of 2019. My next step was attending classes at Savannah College of Art and Design. I took some time off of college after the Winter quarter of 2021 due to Covid-19. Taking a few months to focus on my personal growth and development. I started working more increasing my savings to better support myself through college. Please see below for some of the various projects I participated in during this time period.
When the protocol for Covid was stricter I decided to take an online writing course through Emory University. I have three passions: yoga, fashion, and writing. After taking the writing course I decided to take an image consulting course to see if a styling career might fit better than fashion design for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and found that the fascination of garment construction still held true for me. This is what brought me back to Scad, the fascination with how fashion is made and evolves into art. I continued there until my physical and mental health started declining. I started to attend yoga classes on campus and that was the only time I could breathe and focus. I decided from that moment forward I was going to put my energy into pursuing a career that I enjoy and provides a healthy lifestyle for me. Becoming a Yoga teacher through Kripalu I found such an inviting and open minded community. I want to bring that safe space into my practice and have my students feel welcomed and accepted while I guide them in my sessions.
